Overview
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a protein found in human gastric juice. It is highly acid-resistant and one of the most extensively studied tissue repair compounds in the research literature — with documented effects across musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, neurological, and cardiovascular systems spanning four decades of research. This 10mg research vial is the standard concentration used across published studies.
What it does
BPC-157 accelerates tissue repair through two primary mechanisms. First, it upregulates angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — through simultaneous increases in nitric oxide synthesis (vasodilation and anticoagulation) and VEGF expression (new vessel formation into damaged tissue). Blood supply is the rate-limiting factor in soft tissue healing, and BPC-157 addresses this directly. Second, it upregulates collagen synthesis and growth hormone receptor expression in tendon fibroblasts — the structural cells responsible for repairing tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue.
Research areas
Musculoskeletal injury repair — tendon, ligament, muscle, bone · Gastrointestinal healing — gut lining, ulcers, inflammatory gut conditions · Neurological repair — nerve healing, stroke recovery research · Cardiovascular — nitric oxide upregulation, anti-inflammatory · Mental health — gut-brain axis modulation research
